A passion for Middle-Eastern, French, and South African cuisine and culture passed on from father to son, who throughout the years has grown Uncle Faouzi from 1 store to 7 stores and counting. Uncle Faouzi was born in 1953; his lifelong travels and entrepreneurial spirit have seen him open an establishment in the Middle East during the ’70s to ’80s.

From the 90s to 2003, Uncle Faouzi opened a shop amidst the vibrant streets of Paris until his move to South Africa. 2003 saw the opening of Uncle Faouzi in Hatfield, Pretoria, and was inspired by his time in the Middle East, France, and South Africa.
